VoIP Monitoring Application Specialist

General Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, or High School Diploma and 3 years of general work experience. Six (6) years of general experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree.

Functional Responsibilities: Working under the supervision of a Sr. UC Engineer or IP Telephony Engineer, this individual will evaluate VoIP Monitoring solution to monitor for both Cisco and Avaya VoIP infrastructure. Once Product selection has been made, install, configure and mantain application during its operational life cycles.

Unified Communications Consultant (UC Engineer I)

General Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 4 years of general experience. Six (6) years of general experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree. With a Master's Degree, one (1) year of general experience is required. With a PhD, no experience is required.

Functional Responsibilities: Under supervision performs a variety of network engineering tasks which are broad in nature and are concerned with the design and implementation of integrated networks, including hardware, software and support facilities and/or equipment. Performs with some latitude for non-reviewed actions and decisions. Plans and performs unified communications research, design development, implementation and other assignments in conformance with network design, engineering and customer specifications. Responsible for the technical/engineering part of a major project or a project of lesser complexity and importance than those normally assigned to a higher level engineer.

Required skills include experience in the telephony industry, call control solutions including Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Avaya, Nortel and/or Siemens administration, TCP/IP, call routing, routing protocols, SQL scripting, VoIP. UC Technician (UC Technician II)
 
General Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, or High School Diploma and 3 years of general work experience. Six (6) years of general experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree.

Functional Responsibilities: Working under the supervision of a Sr. UC Engineer or IP Telephony Engineer, this individual performs a variety of voice engineering tasks which are broad in nature and are concerned with the design and implementation of integrated networks, including hardware, software and support facilities and/or equipment. Physical installation, baseline testing and UC devices switches, router, various types of transmission lines. Baseline troubleshooting and resolution of any operational problems that occur during installation and test. Focus is primarily on call-related issues and feature testing.

Provides documentation such as inventory, implementation diagrams, change management, weekly reports, etc. Orders and inventories new equipment. Tests unified communications devices before deployment. Labels and boxes devices for shipment.

Functional Responsibilities: Under supervision performs a variety of network engineering tasks which are broad in nature and are concerned with the design and implementation of integrated networks, including hardware, software and support facilities and/or equipment. Performs with some latitude for non-reviewed actions and decisions. Plans and performs unified communications research, design development, implementation and other assignments in conformance with network design, engineering and customer specifications. Responsible for the technical/engineering part of a major project or a project of lesser complexity and importance than those normally assigned to a higher level engineer. Provides operational integration support of telephony infrastructure which may include may include Cisco, Avaya, Nortel and Siemens, messaging mail systems, call accounting system, VoIP applications - Cisco IP Telephony platforms - Cisco Call Manager, IP Contact Center, Voice Gateway. Working knowledge of VoIP, CIPT, LAN and ATM/Frame Relay WAN technologies, circuits, routing protocols and IP addressing.

Manage carriers that provide telecom and VoIP services to ensure their services meet client requirements.
